Just changed my blogskin, got sick of the previous one.. Will add more stuff to my blog later.
spent the whole day changing my blogskin, hope that this will gimme more motivation to blog..
suddenly realised that the previous & current blogskins have the same colour tone. says somethg abt my colour preference isnt it? ;)

my working schedule:
4 days work, 3 days rest,
3 days work, 4 days rest
Will change from day to night shift every 2weeks
thus, i'm available every thur, fri, sat & on alternate wed

I like to know wat other people are thinking.. Not only wad they think abt me but oso wad they're thinking abt other things.. I like to observe how someone behave in a situation & why they do so. I'm an introspective person.

I dun like horror movies, they're a waste of money and shorten lifespan and end up having neurosis. Unless it's FOC and i'm prepared to be watching just 1/5 of the movie. Else, i'll rather watch funny, cute, romantic or action-packed movies.

I wana eat healthy food, practise my religion but often end up eating junk and nodding off when listening to my Buddhist teachings.

I LOVE dogs especially big, sunny dogs = golden retrievers!! They're jus so inviting, huggable and outdoorsy..

I am interested in many things and like to learn about many different things, however, I dun have the perseverance and have a tendency to skim the surface.

I like to accept that the only thing constant is change. Makes life exciting & challenging.
I wish that everyone greets with hugs :D

The Island Review

watched The Island recently in cineleisure with my pals at a very cosy room which in my opinion is perfect for couples.. can get "very cosy" except tt we're at a corner room with windows at both sides and pp kept gazing into our room..


never mind that, The Island is a movie which i feel can be read more into it.. Btw, the director is Michael Bay who have made several big budget movies like Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon & Pearl Harbour..


Some may find the beginning of the movie dull and boring but i find a lota society issues addressed here. On the other hand, all the action moves in the later part of the movie are to make the movie only more spectacular, nothing more.. which is oso part of his filming style..


An obvious point he is trying to make is the cloning for health/beauty purposes. The morality issue is at work here. The "sponsers" as they call it are kept within the moral boundaries by being "ignorant" to the humanity of the clones. Furthermore, he did not emphases on the sponsors much.. perhaps he fear offending the rich and affluent class of the society..


Another issue is the people in the plant actually kept the intellect of the clones at 15 yrs of age. Observing the interaction between the minders and the clones, isn't it easy to link it to the government and the citizens?? This movie was done in the USA, whereby i'm not entirely certain of their government system. However, i find it uncannily close to our singapore government.. spoon feeding, telling/ dictating what can be done and what not to be done.. The sensors and video cam all ard, monitoring us.. telling us what a fairy tale world we're living in.. No objections or whatever so is to be heard. Intelligence, freedom of speech are all oppressed.. Present to us one thing and doing something totally outta our imagination underneath.. Lottery (read: progress package) occasionally to make us happy.. in actual fact, it may not be as good as it seems.. =/


i'm jus reviewing on a movie based on what i feel and learnt recently.. hopefully, what i have written down would not be offending to any party involved.. *cross fingers* cincin has blogged down the events on tt day.. me lazy to blog.. so please refer there.. haha..
