the very budget terminal.. so budget that i cant believe i'm in singapore.. the roofs are like made with tin/zinc.. (kinda like the temporary bus interchange in boonlay) surely they can find enough sponsors to build a better terminal for the many visitors of singapore? 1st impression are important!!
xueling prancing about at the budget terminal.. hehe.. & the very small airplane we're boarding..

reached bangkok!! their airport is made up of all concrete and glass everywhere.. the concrete looks a bit crude lah.. but definitely better than our budget terminal~

a typical bkk street with shops at the side, lined with loads of messy overhead wires.. many taxis trying to earn extra income from unknowning tourist (cin, jia & me).. ahem.. we took a very expensive tu-tu ride on a relatively short distance.. once bitter twice shy.. anyway, this street is jus in front of our eastin hotel..

the 1st thing we ate in bkk was at this roadside stall near our hotel.. a very unassuming roadside stall.. and the beehoon is fantastic!! 5stars outta 5 for a roadside.. taste quite like prawn noodle.. but is jus better over there..

nxt we proceed to platinum fashion mall.. we passed by several streets selling clothes, shoes & stuff but din really get our attention.. it is only when we reached platinum that we got high and really happy with the shopping.. i love platinum!!

DAY 2:
went to chatuchak market (JJ market).. wow!! i can tell u it's the best place to go for in bkk!! they have tons of things! each and every shop has its own originality! the people there are creative man!! see something u like, u'll have to buy it.. wun be able to see it again in other shops.. unlike singapore, (think orchard road) same shops throughout selling same stuff.. sigh.. bkk is a shopping haven~
went early in the morning with cool breeze in the air, shopped through the sunny afternoon all the way till evening.. we spent such a long time over there and we have yet to finish jalan-ing the whole of chatuchak.. i bought so many things & it was so heavy that i really wished i brought a muscle man over to carry my stuff..
little flowers with many diff colours that i bought home for my mother.. jia posing along the main st of chatuchak, cin eating a fake orange & me..

the alley of chatuchak selling all kinds of things.. yusheng & ting looking at cultery..
the very kawaii dogs!! this is the most noisy section of the market.. could hear those angmohs exclaiming "wah! so cute! look at this" (btw, there're really a lot angmohs in bkk.. many very cute and lovely kids stay at eastin hotel too! fell in love with angmoh children.. and some have very macho fathers too.. hahaha)
the stall holders giving the doggies a bath early in the morning.. many toy dogs available.. saw a guy walking past us with a dog fling over his left shoulder and grabbing a super tiny dog in his right hand.. see the very fierce-looking husky puppy? so fierce-looking that i dun dare to sayang him.. also, there's 2 fat golden retriever puppies there.. sold for ard SGD100+ O_o compare that to the price sold in sg..
other cute animals up for sale.. fluffy rabbits and birds
ate THE beehoon dish again.. but is from diff staff, so the taste varies slightly.. but is still tasty all the same.. btw, we all feel that bkk serves in small portions.. so i'll be roughly 60-70% full after each meal.. prevents us from eating too much.. unlike in sg, i'll normally be 90-100% full dining outside in a regular coffee shop.. i think angmohs need 2to3 servings..
see our shag look? and the super big shopping bag.. cin is munching on an ice-cream stick she like v much..
went back to the hotel to prepare for the gala dinner.. we're late by 1hr++.. i guess shopping takes precedence over the gala dinner.. which is pretty much our motto of the trip..
left side is ting & ys's hotel rm and the right is ours.. note the difference.. ours is much much messier =P tt's me in the middle ;D
At the World Trade Centre? the place where there's a naraya shop.. bought quite a lot things at naraya.. =/ a bit like see pp buy so i have to buy that kinda attitude cos many singaporeans are crazy abt their pdt.. haha.. still.. i like the things i bought..

Suan-Lum Night Market.. dun rem wad time we went.. but we're shopping halfway when they started closing.. had a foot massage there.. hmm.. not very wonderful.. cos we tend to compare and their skills seem to varies.. wad he did on my left leg may not be wad he did on my right leg.. so inconsistant.. =/

the very atmospheric suan lum eating place.. there's a big stage in front with live performance such as stripping shows, dancing and singing.. noticed quite a no. of beer ladies and many foreigners there..

DAY 4:
this's their beloved king.. they worship him a lot.. can see his pic all over the town.. learnt that it was for his 80th birthday.. many stalls were selling yellow polo shirt with their thai crest on it or words that wrote long live the king.. and many thais could be seen wearing the polo tee..
anyway, the photo was removed when during our last day in bkk.. now u see.. now u dun~

went to chinatown.. it was really not as good as i tot it would be.. it was super congested and overcrowded.. seems to be many repeating shops and its pretty much like our own chinatown.. we kept getting into isolated lanes which looks like those shops we have in our neighbourhood.. not much fashion clothes.. things are relatively expensive too.. AND they like to sell wholesale without bending the rules.. that means we have to buy in bulk, either 6, 9 or 12 items and above.. cin even offer to buy a pair of shoes at a higher price but was rejected.. =/ wassup?!?! O_o
bought somethg i really like there.. an earring stand.. no more tangled earrings, all displayed properly for me to choose the earring of the day.. XD

well, the seafood there was really not good at all.. luckily, i din expect anythg.. else i'll be having an unhappy meal.. for me, good seafood can roughly be judged by how tender and fresh the steamed fish was.. and well, the steamed fish totally failed!! argh~~ it was severly overcooked.. prawn was not as heavenly as i've came to expect.. the other dishes came in too small a portion to sastify me.. i could only eat once for almost each dish and the food is gone.. haiz... totally unsatisfying.. but since it's cheap, it's not tt bad.. malaysia's seafood is wayyyy better.. keke..
some of the dishes that i rem to take photo of.. =X

went to memorial bridge night market.. somehow i dun really enjoy night market.. but still managed to buy somethg there.. furthermore, i was kinda dragged from sleep.. the fast & jerky cab ride makes everybody uncomfortable.. and the cold wind from the waters makes me feel like making big business.. =P
DAY 5:
our luggage.. not including liting's & yusheng's backpack and our handbags.. and oso not including wad we bought later at the mall..

check out of eastin hotel.. it's time to go back.. but b4 that we had to go back to our favourite mall, Platinum Fashion Mall!! despite the limited time we had left, i think i managed to buy quite a lot of things from there.. hahaha.. cos it's my fav mall mah..
the zip broke when we're about the board the plane.. happened while cin was trying to help me zip my bag.. so funny~ i think that guy in white at the furthest seat from us was trying to pose in our pic too! XD

the 1st officer or captain i assume was outside greeting passengers.. i think it's not often they do that so i decided to take a photo of him.. but due to my excitement, i made quite a lota noise and he noticed.. i duck my head and placed the cam on top of the seat in front of jia to photo him.. i din realised that he's posing for the cam until jia told me so..hee.. he's a friendly guy.. but.. i was laughing so the cam is unstable and hence, this posed, blurred photo..

DAY 6:
reached singapore after midnight. The nxt day, my mother kept requesting *excitedly* to see wad i bought home.. so *excitedly* that she woke me up b4 my usual wake up time at 11+ to rumage thru my collections.. Z__z and made a mess outta my room..
